5 Cyprus activities guaranteed to put a smile on any kids face.

Cyprus is a great family destination for many reasons, not only are we spoilt with the abundance of sunshine, numerous blue flag beaches, amazing cuisine and hospitality.  But when the kids are bored of the beach, what can you do?  Fear not this tiny island is packed with everything to suit all ages and tastes.  It really is a destination of one size fits all!

1, The award-winning waterpark at Ayia Napa,

 

‘Where myth becomes reality’.

With an impressive 25 international awards and over 21 thrilling rides and attractions, choose as much or as little excitement as you can handle. You have Chariot racing, Trojan adventures, the fall of Icarus, drop to Atlantis, Minotaur’s labyrinth and many more.

For when you just can’t take anymore thrills and excitement, or you have lost your swimming attire on the Kamikaze, the park has sunbeds and umbrellas and a lazy river for relaxing and watching the world go by.

Continuing the theme you will find 5 catering facilities offering, burgers, fish & chips, pizzas a restaurant, creperie and of course no day is complete in the summer without ice-cream.

The number 102 bus from anywhere in Agia Napa or Protaras will take you here.  A great tip in July & August for the kids, take trainer socks (if you can get them to wear them) as the floor gets very very hot!

 

2, Go Karting

For all the formula 1 hopefulls, Ayia Napa has 3 race tracks to suit all ages.  For a petrol seeking thrill that offers unbeatable racing, maximum enjoyment and a spot of healthy competition.  This is where the adults turn into the biggest kids!!

There is a mini go carting for the small ones and 2 for the juniors to older ones.

3, Camel Park

For an adventure day out the camelpark is a must. For the brave and adventorous, experience a unique country safari on a friendly camel.  For the not so brave soldiers they also have pony rides.  Get up close and personal, you can purchase bags of food and feed them. Don’t worry they like all kinds of food, even a shoe or two.

The park has a number of different animals including, osterich, goats, deer, ponies, wallabies,lamas, turtles, fish, donkeys and many more.  A great experience for your nature lovers.

The park has a play area for the kids along with an arrangement of electronic games and bull riding to keep them entertained the whole day.  During the summer the pool is open to cool off and relax.

 

4, Pottery Place

For your budding little Picasso, a trip to the Potter place is a perfect pass time.  Not only will your kids enjoy creating their own masterpiece, it is a relaxing and tranquill activity.  Vera & Lyndsey are very creative and have amazing patience and understanding with the kids.

Its as simple as choosing a piece to paint, painting your masterpiece and collecting it in a couple of days, after it has been glazed and fired.  It is a great keepsake of a special holiday, or it could be a special gift to take home for Granny!

5, Parko Paliatso

 

For an evening of thrills, chills and entertainement, Parko Paliatso has something for all ages.  From the tranquil teacups for the young right through to being launched 90m high in just 2 seconds. The park has an inside soft paly area for when it all gets too much excitement. Ayia Napa truly comes alive in the evening, music, entertainment, ice cream and candy floss what more could you ask for? Guaranteed to put a smile on your child’s face!
